Broadband Crawford County
Mainstream Fiber Networks, alongside Crawford County, has received a Next Level Broadband grant from the state of Indiana for over $3 million, with a local match of $2.7 million for a combined total of over $5.77 million.
This project will bring broadband connectivity to over 1000 unserved households, over 120 businesses, and several anchor institutions. We are honored and excited to be able to help service Crawford County with reliable broadband access, as this is the core of our mission: to bring affordable, reliable broadband into unserved or underserved areas.
As we are still in the preliminary stages of this project, information regarding the service route and timelines are not currently available. We will continue to update this page as work progresses, so please, look to this page for future updates.
In the meantime, by joining our Quick Connect List, you will receive updates as service becomes available in your area.
WHAT IS NEXT LEVEL BROADBAND?
Indiana has recently issued a $100 million grant program dedicated to bringing broadband service into rural areas of the state that are suffering from extremely limited access. Mainstream Fiber Networks has been awarded a grant in the amount of $3.06 million with a local match of nearly $2.71 million for a total project cost of more than $5.77 million. This project will assist in connecting 1,040 homes to our fiber infrastructure with an additional 1800 households gaining immediate access upon project completion.

WHAT CAN I DO?
By telling us about the service, or lack of service, you have, you are helping your county collect vital information. Submitting this information will also put you on our Quick Connect List, which is the best way to stay informed on the status of the Posey County NLC project.
Service is coming soon! You are able to sign up for service. Construction of our network infrastructure is currently in progress. Those who join the list early will be the first in the area to be notified and connected.
These areas are being considered for service expansion. In order to get connected, we require more interest through our Quick Connect List to construct in these neighborhoods, or we are in the primary phases of expanding. Neighbors here should join the list, spread the word, and follow their zone! Proactive neighborhood zones get connected first, and those who join the Quick Connect List will receive service updates.
Some areas are not covered by our map. We may simply not be close enough with our mainline network yet, or we have had very little interest shown in these neighborhoods. Many factors go into the design and construction of our network, so when neighbors show us where the most interest is, it tells us where to expand our service.
The map is provided to you for informational purposes only and shows the current status of the project. The map will be updated as the project progresses, changes are made, and expansion areas added based on community interest.
Don’t see our service in your neighborhood on the map? We expand based on interest. Joining our Quick Connect List will keep you informed of the project and tell us where to expand next.
If your neighborhood is connected, you can sign up right away and start enjoying the internet you deserve!
