Mainstream is always active in training our employees to take larger roles in our positions. Our company consistently uses training programs, workshops, and events so our employees can better themselves professionally. Last week our Regional Branch Associate, Jessica Adamson, attended the Leadership Harrison County Retreat to do just that. Jessica was asked a few questions about Leadership Harrison County Retreat. She describes the importance of learning and practicing applicable leadership skills, as well as their personal experiences from the two-day event. When asked about how the retreat went, Jessica said, “The event as a whole was awesome. We learned a …

This year, we had the opportunity to be a sponsor for Lanesville Heritage Weekend. This is an annual four-day event in Lanesville, Indiana. Our team spent this weekend interacting face-to-face with neighbors, giving the community a chance to get to know us. Mainstream provided the event with free WiFi for the entire weekend. Every smart device had access to connect to our WiFi for all four days. Those who attended Lanesville Heritage Weekend were able to share their moments online in real time. We are always about giving back to the community. Over the weekend, individuals who visited our booth …

If the rain didn't keep you inside, you may have seen our booth during the past week at the Harrison County Agricultural Fair.  We were lucky enough to have a booth inside where it was dry, and we were also fortunate enough to have dry sunny days for the later part of the week. The team at Mainstream Fiber Networks loves going out to these events and meeting all the people in the areas we serve, as well as meeting some people from neighboring areas we hope to expand to.  As always we appreciated meeting everyone who stopped by to …

If you were out and about last Saturday, May 25th you might have seen some of Mainstream Fiber’s team at our booth at Southern Indiana Uncorked. Despite the nasty weather earlier in the week, the day of the event was warm, clear, and beautiful. Our team members, Jessica and Nick, enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by whether it was to stop by and say hello, or to enter our drawing for a gift basket, provided by Red White and Blush. Speaking of drawings, we have a winner of the gift basket: congratulations to Marla Colette, and thank you to everyone …

We here at Mainstream Fiber Networks hope you all had a Happy Halloween, despite the weather. Last night, for the second year, Mainstream Fiber took part in Harrison County's Trick or Treat at the Track event, where over 1000 kids and parents braved the rain to trick or treat.  It was a great event full of great costumes and great people, not to mention over 1000 lit Jack-O-Lanterns!  It was an incredibly fun event, and we're all looking forward to be a part of it again next year! In the meantime, we hope that you all enjoy the rest of …

Mainstream Fiber Networks is proud to announce that we have built over 120 miles of fiber optic cable infrastructure through Harrison County. This includes both our mainline project as well as several adjoining neighborhoods that had high participation in our interest survey. Because of this, we are now able to provide our services to approximately 10,000 households in the area, and that number will only continue to grow over the upcoming years. The neighborhoods we are currently serving are listed at the bottom of this page. Mainstream Fiber is the only 100% fiber optic to the home internet service provider in …

On Wednesday September 5th, Mainstream Fiber Networks held its inaugural Customer Appreciation Day in Harrison County.  We decided to hold the event in order to show thanks for all of the Harrison County residents who have been there with us and helped us grow through these past couple years.  The event was a resounding success, with dozens of Mainstream Fiber customers coming in to enjoy food, games, and meet with our team.  It was a fun afternoon and it was an absolute pleasure for us to meet and talk with all of those who came. In addition, two drawings were held, one for …

Today marks the end of Mainstream Fiber's Follow the Fiber event; an interactive scavenger hunt through Harrison County along our soon to be completed 115 mile mainline fiber loop. There were a number of different spots with QR codes scattered throughout Harrison County, and scanning the code brought you to a web page where you would learn about the history of fiber optics and the history of Mainstream Fiber. The event was a rousing success, with a number of participants!  However, despite the amount of participation, there were only 3 who were able to complete the entire scavenger hunt and …

The Race is On!

Our Follow the Fiber event, a scavenger hunt through Harrison County, is well under way, but although we've had several entrants, none have crossed the finish line; meaning that the 5 $50 Visa gift cards are still up for grabs to the 5 fastest people to complete the course! Not only that, but we've decided to also add an additional 15 gift bags filled to the brim with great Mainstream Fiber loot to be given to the first 15 finishes of the course.  Plus, there might even be more surprises in store for participants as the week moves forward! But …
