CEO, Mainstream Fiber Networks

Our CEO, Bryan Gabriel, founded an IT consulting and computer services company in Columbus, Indiana. While running the company, it became apparent that there was a need for high-speed internet in Indiana’s rural communities.
He founded a wireless internet service provider and over time this wireless internet venture slowly morphed into the fiber optic internet company known as Mainstream Fiber Networks.
Mainstream Fiber Networks’ first major build was completed. the project was to ensure that all students in the Brown County Schools had fast and reliable internet. Shortly thereafter, the company began to expand its fiber optic network into the rest of Brown County, providing over 21 miles of fiber optic cable.
Mainstream Fiber Networks partnered with the Harrison County Community Foundation and Chamber of Commerce to begin work on an enormous 115-mile fiber optic loop that provided service throughout the county.
Shortly after the partnership was finalized, Mainstream underwent significant growth, doubling in size. The company has continued to double in size every year since.
The mainline fiber loop in Harrison County was completed. This loop provides over 115 miles of fiber to over 100 neighborhoods and over 8000 homes and businesses throughout Harrison County.
Due to interest in the community, the project’s scope was increased and an additional 115 miles were constructed, doubling the total size and coverage of the project.
Mainstream Fiber Networks expanded coverage into neighboring Floyd County, and also began to work with Warrick County Economic Development on a milestone fiber optic project. Mainstream Fiber aims to continue growing, expanding our network, and providing affordable internet solutions throughout all of rural Indiana.

Mainstream Fiber Networks was awarded Next Level Connection grants to expand service into underserved parts of Floyd and Benton County.
During the early parts of the pandemic, Mainstream Fiber Networks leveraged its network to create a dozen (later expanded to 20) free Wi-Fi hotspots in our communities.
Mainstream Fiber Networks was awarded a New Level Connection grant to expand service into Crawford County.
Mainstream Fiber Networks partners with AmeriCrew to help expand our network.
Mainstream Fiber Network joins statewide fiber collective.
